No one wanted to fight Hector Lombard so Dana and the UFC had to go outside the organization and bring in Josh Burkman for the former Cuban Olympian. Lombard will be facing off against Burkman at UFC 182 in January 3rd. And after this fight, if Hector is victorious, he still has expressed interest in fighting someone on his own team, Tyron Woodley.
Big fight this weekend for the former lightweight king as he will square off against the always dangerous Cub Swanson! After his recent destruction of the legendary BJ Penn, it will be exciting to see how Edgar deals with the red hot Cub Swanson. What do you all think about this featherweight contest? Will Frankie stop Cub from winning his 7th in a row or are we looking at another great victory for Cub??? Tweet us your predictions @Titocouture
Big test coming up for undefeated lightweight stud Myles Jury as he will square off against the one and only Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in a co-main event bout at UFC 182 on January 3rd of 2015. Big step in competition for Myles and a victory over the red hot Cerrone will be a huge jump towards title contention. Before that bout Myles must suffer through training camp and all of the media obligations that come with being a PPV co-main event competitor. Good to see Myles here alongside Jeremy Stephens as the UFC Countdown crew made their way down to Alliance MMA to get some footage of the lightweight fighter. Big things to come for Myles, and looking at the support he has been getting recently from Reebok, I have a feeling the young fighter is pretty happy with how his career is progressing!
If you are going to sponsor a fighter, the only current Brazilian UFC champion, and a man who is currently on an 18-fight win streak is probably not the worst option…
Pretty funny to see the flyweight jump on a chair before snapping a picture with the 6’5″ middleweight Luke Barnatt! Looking forward to seeing these two compete this weekend, best of luck to both men!
As busy as fitness and nutrition guru Mike Dolce might be, he always manages to make his way to the gym for a workout! Hard not to be a fan of a guy who is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also someone who practices what they preach day in and day out! At the end of the day Mike’s views on fitness and health all center around longevity and if you hate on Dolce and his teachings you must not be an MMA fan because Dolce is helping to make the sport safer for the amazing athletes we love to watch compete.
Having had the opportunity to spend some time with Tarec a while back, it was clear that aside from his obviously immense talent in the cage, he also cares deeply for his family. I am sure knowing the type of husband and father that Tarec is, it will come as a bit of a shock to her when she is old enough to understand that her daddy actually beats people up for a living! All the best to Tarec, cannot wait to see him square off with Matt Brown next year.
