Diego Sanchez missed weight on Friday for the first time in his career when he came in at 158 lbs, two pounds over the lightweight limit. The Ultimate Fighter winner is coming off a year absence due to injury and was previously competing at 170 lbs ever since his lightweight title lose to BJ Penn. Sanchez said on Twitter that he started his fight camp at 206 lbs. A fifty pound cut is serious, and it makes you wonder how much time he spent focused on skill training and how much time focused on loosing the weight. Missing weight is going to hurt Diego’s pocket since he is will be fined $24,000 for the extra two pounds.
