Chael Sonnen opened a restaurant last year, Mean Street Pizza, and it is not going as well as Sonnen would have hoped. Here’s the scope via Oregonlive “Professional mixed martial artist Chael Sonnen is suing his business partner and the co-owner of his West Linn restaurant, claiming he embezzled $20,000 and owes Sonnen another nearly $23,000 in borrowed money and unpaid rent.
The lawsuit filed earlier this month in Clackamas County Circuit Court also seeks to oust Lee Gamble, who co-owns Mean Street Pizza with the Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter, from the limited liability corporation the pair run. “
Sonnen is no stranger to legal troubles as in 2011 he was involved in a money laundering scheme and suffered a fine of $10,000 and a loss of his real estate license. Chael has a huge fight coming up in April against arguably the best fighter in the world. He seems to have quite a few distractions going on with being the new host of Fuel TV’s UFC Tonight and now this. Let’s just hope all these outside distractions aren’t affecting Chael’s training.
